Black Salt is composed largely of sodium chloride with several other components that lend the salt its unique colour and odour. Its distinctive odour is due to the presence of Iron sulphide in the salt. It has purple/pinkish grey crystals when whole and is light purple to pink in color when ground into a powder. It is considered a cooling spice in ayurvedic medicine and is recommended for many health issues such as constipation, indigestion, heartburn, bloating, flatulence, poor eyesight and hysteria.
Tata Black salt is rich in potassium, calcium, iron and sulphur, all of which make it excellent for digestion. Its crystals tingle your taste buds while nurturing your health. Crush some fresh black salt to add a tasty twist to chaats, chutneys, salads, fruits, raitas, savory snacks and juices.
Both variants are available in a crusher pack. The crusher pack ensures that you get a fresh burst of aroma and flavour each time you use the salt and elevate the taste of your dishes each time. The crusher also comes with an in-built mechanism to adjust the coarseness of the particles so you can choose the grain size, from a fine powder to bigger crystals, as per your preference. The crushers are refillable and refill packs are available for both variants.
The dal is very similar to what we used to get in our village. The flavour is so similar to the ones we get in our village farms.Rujuta Deshpande, Mumbai
When you polish the dal, it loses its protein. I am glad that I switched to Tata Sampann Dal as it has so many health benefits. There's no compromise on health in any way. I've always wanted to stick to the TATA brand since it generates trust. We feel like we won't be cheated.Ms. Bandrawala, Mumbai
You know whether the product is good or not from the aroma you get when the cooker goes off. I've noticed that other dals don't have the same aroma as Tata Sampann's dal.MIthraja Meenakshi, Mumbai
